Phyllis Harrell Hagan

Thomasville, GA - Phyllis Harrell Hagan, of Thomasville, passed away on Sunday September 13th, 2026. Phyllis was born on January 27th, 1942 in Coolidge to the late Woodrow Harrell and Mellie Strickland Harrell. She was a 1960 graduate of Central High School and a member of First Baptist Church Thomasville. Mrs. Hagan loved dogs immensely and had a green thumb the size of Texas. Feeding birds and squirrels along with gardening and attending to flowers was her favorite pastime. She was the former owner of Burger Chef for many years and worked for Thomasville Orthopedic until her retirement. Survivors include her husband of 66 years William Hagan, Sr. whom she married on June 18, 1960. Other survivors include her daughter Toni Hagan Johnson and husband Reese of Kissimmee, Fl, son William Arthur Hagan Jr. "Bubba" of Cairo, Ga.; grandchildren Rhysa Johnson of Kissimmee, Fl and Ashlyn Hagan of Cairo, Ga. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Billy Harrell and Carolyn McMath. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday September 20, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
