Mr. Porter E. Plant 89 of Atlanta, Georgia passed away February 24, 2004. He was born on November 28, 1914 in Madison, Florida to the late Porter E. Plant, Sr. and the late Mamie Zipperer Plant. A brother, David H. Plant, preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 3:00 PM in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville, Ga. with the Reverend Frederick A. Buechner of All Saints Episcopal Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
Survivors include a brother, James W. Plant and his wife Elizabeth of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Louise Plant of Athens, Ga.; a niece, Pam Elliott of Athens, Ga.; a niece, Patsy Zoumberis of Warner Robins, Ga.; 2 great-nieces and a great-nephew.
