Priscilla Tarplee Tucker, affectionately known as "Patty," age 88, of Parrish, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, in Thomasville, Georgia, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 21, 1938, in Jacksonville, Florida, Patty was the beloved daughter of the late Rev. Cornelius Caleb Tarplee, Sr. and Priscilla Adams Tarplee.

Patty graduated from Stuart Hall in Staunton, Virginia, and the University of South Florida in Tampa. She went on to become a lifelong champion for the vulnerable. She worked with Neighborly Senior Services, volunteered with the St. Petersburg Police Department, served as a victims' advocate in Manatee County, and faithfully delivered Meals on Wheels for many years in her communities. Through these roles and countless quiet acts of kindness, she lived out a beautiful legacy of service, empathy, and generosity-a passionate advocate for seniors and victims, and a devoted servant to her community.

Together with her husband Alvis, Patty cherished a life of travel and adventure. They explored the world and lovingly instilled in their children and grandchildren a deep appreciation for travel, culture, and new experiences. She also had a great passion for the arts and handmade crafts, finding joy in creativity and beauty in everyday life. Patty was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 64 years, Alvis Anthony Tucker, Jr.; her parents, Rev. Cornelius Caleb Tarplee, Sr. and Priscilla Adams Tarplee; her brother, Cornelius Caleb "Cork" Tarplee Jr.; her son, Joseph Tucker; and her granddaughter, Lauren Herndon.

She is survived by her children: Priscilla "Anne" Tucker Lee (Warren), Alan Anthony Tucker (Pamela), and Julia "Lynn" Tucker Gauthier (Steven); her grandchildren: Bart Herndon (Kelly), Jennifer Frye (Jeffrey), Sean Lee (Chelsea), Ashley Tucker Pettis (Michael), Jackie Gauthier, and Shane Gauthier; and her great-grandchildren: Neya, Carley, Ava, Kinley, Mallory, Bohen, Noah, Finley, Rilo, and Dash. To these adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was simply "Grandma Patty"-a name spoken with warmth, laughter, and love.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
