Rachel Dean Mobley, born on August 7, 1938, in Windsor, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on April 22, 2026, in Thomasville, Georgia. A devoted wife, mother and nanny, Rachel's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to faith and family.
When her husband, Bobby Mobley became a pastor, Rachel poured her heart into her role as a pastor's wife. She participated in the church choir and found joy in nurturing young lives in the nursery.
Rachel loved working with children in the school system of Broward County, Florida as well. She helped with special needs children for several years and then took on an administrative role in the front office.
In their retirement years, Bobby and Rachel moved to Thomasville, Georgia to be near family. Before Bobby passed, they celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Rachel was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Ray Mobley. She is survived by her daughter Angela Parrott (Jamie) of Ochlocknee, GA her son Timothy Mobley (Pam) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, her sister Shirley Nash of North Carolina, and a loving extended family that includes her grandchildren: Jeremy Parrott (Priscilla), Jacob Parrott (Lilli), Kaylee Rydberg (Adam), Joy Hoffman (Tyler), Sarah Parker (Reed), and Juliette Portillo (Angel). She loved her great-grandchildren, Dakota, Bella, Bryson, Zoe, Madeleine, Ronan, Paisley, Anna, Sophia, Ella, and Josie.
