Ralph Boyd Laws

Funeral services for Ralph Boyd Laws, 63, of Thomasville are 2:00 pm, Friday, June 8, 2007, at Pineland Baptist Church, where he was a member, with interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Johnny Cooper will officiate. Mr. Laws died June 5, 2007 at his residence. Born October 9, 1943, in Caldwell County, N.C., he was the son of the late Rev. Robert P. Laws and Mattie Virginia Laws of Dobson, N.C., who survives. On May 24, 1984, in Thomasville, he married Donna Jackson Laws, who survives. Mr. Laws was self-employed as an Independent Construction Contractor. Survivors include children, Melissa Laws, of Dobson, N.C., Todd Laws, of Seminary, MS., step children, Pam Langston and husband Wayne, Becky Lanter and husband Buster, Randy Reeves, all of Thomasville, brothers, Jerry Laws and wife Mary, of Duncan, OK, Paul Laws and wife Hilda, Eugene Laws, all of Dobson, N.C., Bruce Laws and Glen Laws, sister Sue Childers and husband Beamer, all of Elkin, N.C., sister Linda Soderberg and husband Mike, of Taylorsville, N.C., sisters-in-law, Lucile Burgess and Jo Ann Taylor, both of Thomasville, 5 grandchildren, 9 step- grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Thursday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
