Ralph Lamar Alley, Sr.

Services for Ralph Lamar Alley, Sr. will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Julian Pipkin officiating. Mr. Alley died April 24, 2005 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born on March 17, 1931 in Columbus, Ga., he was the son of the late R.T. Alley who was the former Chief of Police and Sally Ruth Grant Alley who survives. He was retired from Davis Meter and Supply as a Regional Sales Manager, was Retired Lt. Colonial form the Georgia National Guard where he was the Commander of Thomasville and Bainbridge. He was a member of Barnett?s Creek Baptist Church, the Thomasville Masonic Lodge #369, Hasan Temple and an avid wood worker. On August 20, 1950 he married Mary Pauline Sanders at Dawson Street Baptist Church who survives. Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Kay Alley DeMott and Al DeMott of Kennesaw, Ga, son Ralph Lamar Alley, Jr. of Franklin, NC, brother and sister-in-law Doyle C. and Janie Alley of Jasper, Ga., grandchildren Josh DeMott, Mandy DeMott, Molly DeMott, and Jason Lamar Alley.
