Raymond C. Daniel, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully passed away on June 8, 2026. Raymond was born on May 16, 1952 in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Charles Kenneth Daniel and Myra Elizabeth Daniel Vinson. He leaves behind a rich legacy of love and service that will forever be cherished by his family and friends. Raymond is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Emily Sue Allen Daniel, of Coolidge, Georgia. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Michelle Ray Daniel Browning (Buddy), and Jennifer Corey Daniel Gaidos (Kenneth), both of Seagoville, Texas. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and a loving great-grandfather to twelve great-grandchildren.
Raymond also had cherished stepchildren, including Sarajo Lee (Chet) of Colquitt, Georgia, and a step-granddaughter, Myrajo Elizabeth, of Valdosta, along with five step-great-grandchildren who will remember him fondly. He is survived by his siblings, Jackie Norby of Midway, Georgia, and Kenneth Charles Daniel (Marsha) of Savannah, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents and his stepson, Dennis Alan Williams.
Ray served honorably in the United States Air Force for 18 years before dedicating the remainder of his career to the transportation industry at 1975 Transportation Group, formally Broadleaf of Moultrie, where he worked for 11 years.
A memorial service will be held on July 25, 2026, at 2 PM at the Coolidge Church of God, located at 2081 West Verbana Avenue, Coolidge, Georgia. The ceremony will feature a flag presentation and a tap ceremony, honoring Raymond's service to his country, with Pastor Kelly Anderson officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of this extraordinary man who touched so many lives with his kindness and dedication.
