Homer Edgar Croft

Services for Rev. Homer Edgar Croft, 87 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bert Croft will officiate and interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Croft passed away June 11, 2019 at his residence. Born February 13, 1932 in Ochlocknee, he was the son of the late Clarence & Ruby Manning Croft. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Dene Lacey Croft. He was a veteran of the US Marines, was a member of the Ochlocknee American Legion and was owner of Homer Croft Cabinet Shop. He served in the ministry as a messenger of God for 47 years as pastor of First Freewill Baptist Church. He loved to fish, grow a garden and was the greatest granddaddy & great-granddaddy. He is survived by his wife Frances Croft; children; Gregg Croft (Victoria) of Palm Bay, Florida, Vance Croft of Atlanta, Donnie Croft (Jeanine) of Plains, Montanta, Carlene Croft Williams (John Wes) of Cairo, Bert Croft (Cheree) of Thomasville; 15 grandchildren: Sarah Croft, Matthew Croft, Steven Croft, David Croft, Sean Croft, Rachel Croft, Emma Croft, Celine Croft, George Croft (Jennifer), Rose Croft, Kelly Barclay (Brett), Bo Williams (Tiffany), Byron Croft, Blair Croft; 4 great-grandchildren: Henry Croft, Sadie Croft, Colin Williams, Carter Williams. He is also preceded in death by son, Duane Croft and 6 brothers & sisters. The family will receive friends 10-11 am, before the service at the funeral home.
