Richard A. Braun

Richard Anthony Braun, age 57, of Minneola, Florida passed away unexpectedly at his home in Cairo, Georgia on April 15, 2022. Born on December 1, 1964 in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He was the son of late Walter J. Braun and Noreen J. Spinello Braun. Richard enjoyed landscaping, trains, radios, cars and listening to birds. He worked at the Palatine Park District Golf Course in Palatine, Illinois. Twenty Five years ago he started working in irrigation at Walt Disney World. He quickly made his way out of irrigation and into a planner's position at Walt Disney World's ESPN'S Wide World of Sports. Known for his landscape designs, honesty, loyalty and the ability to do anything and everything that nobody else could. He will truly be missed. He is survived by his wife Susan E. Braun; brothers Mike (Rita) of Indiana, Bill (Sue) of Illinois, Wally (Carol) of Illinois; Sister, Donna (John) of Illinois; friend Nancy Hajek of Florida; family dogs: Casper the Bug, Gracie Goo, Wendy Loo, Ally Oops, Sophie Farts and Violet. Richard is preceded in death by Maggie the Dog. There will be no services held at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests to 'Plant a tree' in Richard's memory through www.allenfh.com
