Richard Chester Sawyer
Celebration of life service for Richard Chester Sawyer, 67 of Thomasville, are at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Sawyer died April 13 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born May 24, 1941, in Key West, Fla., he was the son of the late Malcolm and Thelma Russell Sawyer. On Aug. 1, 1964, in Miami, Fla., he married Julia Peter Sawyer, who survives. He retired from Bell South after 32 years. He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, R. Allen and Stacy Sawyer of Thomasville and Daryl and Kim Sawyer of Marietta; grandchildren, Olivia Sawyer, Aubrey Sawyer, Katie Sawyer and Emma Sawyer; sister, Martha Henriquez of Ocala, Fla.; brother, Benjamin Sawyer of Melbourne, Fla.
