Services for Richard E. Hoffman of Boston will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at Boston Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Tim Phillips will officiate and interment will be at Boston City Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Deacons of Boston Baptist Church. Mr. Hoffman died May 2, 2004 at his residence. Born August 26, 1945 in Goshen, Indiana he was the son of the late Charles and Fanna Korenstra Hoffman. On May 18, 1968 he married Nancy Hess Hoffman who survives. Mr. Hoffman retired after 24 years from the United States Air Force and worked for FEMA after his retirement. He was an active Deacon, taught Sunday School and was a member of the Boston Community Club. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Terri Hoffman of Moultrie, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and David Brillon of Jacksonville, FL, daughters, Merideth Hoffman of Boston and Heather Hoffman of Tallahassee, FL, granddaughter, Morgan Brillon and several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Brothers, Tom Hoffman and Steve Hoffman, preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center, 116 Mimosa Drive, Thomasville, GA 31792 or to the Always and Forever Memorial and Honor Program, Atten: ADA Web, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720 or to Boston Baptist Church, P.O. Box 156, Boston, GA 31626. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8PM on Tuesday.
