Richard Alexander Garces

A visitation for Richard Alexander Garces, 76, of Thomasville will be held at 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. Mr. Garces passed away on May 31, 2015 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born March 4, 1939 in Miami, he was the son of Alexander Robert and Hanna Elsie Schmidt Garces. He was married to Elizabeth “Betty” Crenshaw Garces, who survives. Mr. Garces was a member of the Tropical Anglers Fishing Club in Miami and won several awards. He also became a member of Glen Arven Country Club, where he golfed often. His two loves were golf and fishing. Other survivors include daughters Denise Pineiro and husband Rey of Thomasville, Robin Reid and husband David of Charlotte, NC and Michele Killeen and fiance Robert Pentz of Montverde, FL; including many life friends and family members too numerous to name. Graveside services for Mr. Garces will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Southern Memorial Park in Miami, FL. Guests may sign the online register at www.allenfh.com .
