Richard L. Singletary

Private graveside services for the family of Richard L. Singletary, 87 of Thomasville will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Rev. Chris Goff will officiate. Mr. Singletary passed away April 17, 2020. He was born in Pelham Georgia, Dec. 28, 1932, to Mildred Sasser and Lewis Hall Singletary. Mr. Singletary attended Pelham, Ga. public school and graduated from The Episcopal High School and Duke University. Mr. Singletary was a charter member of The Hub Church of Thomasville, President of Sing Oil Company, Vice President and then President of Society of Independent Gas Marketers of America and active in many civic organizations. He is survived by his wife, Kay Oxford Singletary, his sister, Karen S. Leabo, his children, Richard L. & Julia Singletary, Jeanne and Greg Hamil and Lewis Hall and Rebecca Singletary, step-son Dick Lawson; grandchildren, Richard Lewis Singletary III, Margaret Singletary Hardy, Michael Hamil, Eve Toomey Hennessey, Lauren Hamil, William Hamil, Connor Singletary and Mitchell Singletary; and three great grandchildren. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, we are requesting no visitors, flowers or food at this time.
