Services for Richmond Poochy Dyal Ouzts, 75, of Thomasville are at 2 pm, Sunday, July 3 at Thomasville Church of Christ. The Rev. Garland Basford will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Ouzts passed away July 1, 2011 at his residence. Born December 27, 1935 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late John Travis Ouzts and Livie Mae Strickland Ouzts. He was married to Helen Hasty Ouzts who survives. Mr. Ouzts was a veteran of the National Guard, worked with Thomasville Times Enterprise for 40 years and was a member of Thomasville Church of Christ. He loved the coast, loved to read his Bible and loved his family. Other survivors include children, Lisa Lyles and husband Don, Donna Ouzts, Elizabeth Poppell and husband Allen, Tommy Benton and wife Kathy, Scott Benton and wife Jennifer and Travis Ouzts and friend Dwight; grandchildren, Dustin Greene, Dale Greene, Jr., Joe Lyles, Jeremy Poppell, Joshua Benton, Derek Benton, Kristen Benton and Jesse Benton; great grandchildren, Rebekah Greene and Emily Greene; brother, Eugene Ouzts and wife Mary of Arizona. He was preceded in death by great grandson, Harrison Dale Greene, III; brothers and sisters, Mary Jane Ouzts, William Ted Ouzts, Grace Lee Ouzts Brown, Ella Mae Buchanan, Travis James Ouzts and John Leonard Ouzts.
