Ricky L. Carter Sr.

Funeral service for Ricky L. Carter Sr. will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Northwoods Church of God with Pastors Josh Toomey and David Holton officiating. Interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Ricky Lavon Carter Sr., age 65, of Thomasville passed away March 20, 2023, at his home. He was born in Thomasville on April 17, 1957, to Vonleih, who survives and the late Irene Boutwell Carter. Ricky was an avid Florida Gator fan and enjoyed everything to do sports. He was a devoted Christian and active member of Northwoods Church of God. Other survivors include his wife Patricia Carter of Thomasville; sons Ricky L. Carter Jr. (Andria) of Thomasville, and Reggie Lee Carter of Thomasville; grandchildren Cierra Jade Carter, Case M. Carter, Colin D. Carter; great-granddaughter Brayleigh Nix; and brothers Bernard Cannon of Thomasville, and Carol Jones of Whigham. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Wednesday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
