Rilzie Cason Allen
Graveside services for Rilzie Cason Allen, 95, of Thomasville, are at 10 a.m., Friday, June 25, 2010 in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Allen passed away June 23 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born, Dec. 30, 1914, in Pierce County, she was the daughter of the late David Victor and Elvie Anna Bennett Cason. On Feb. 11, 1940, in Thomasville, she married Jack Vinson Allen, Sr., who preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 2006. She was a longtime receptionist for Allen Electric Company and Wiregrass Electric Company until her recent illness. She loved God and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church and Eastern Star. Mrs. Allen was known by her friends and family, whom she dearly loved, as a sweet and kind person who was always at peace with life. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Allen Bentley; son, Jack Vinson Allen, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Lanier Allen; grandchildren, Stephanie Bentley, Camille Bentley Lipton, Lanier Allen, Irene Allen Gleason, Sidney Allen Kreyenbuhl, Hillery Allen Richards; great-grandchildren, Serena Grace Allen, Kathleen Lanier Allen, Lily Arlina Prout, Sophie Elizabeth Prout, Bentley Harrison Prout, Louisa Marie Kreyenbuhl; brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carol Warren Cason; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, c/o Vicki Lutes, P.O.
