Our lives are forever changed. On March 4th, Kay Dunn-Smith Wood, the most gentle among us, left our sight but not our hearts. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas “Tommy” and Marjorie Smith Dunn and her brother, Jimmy Dunn. She leaves behind a son, Rick (Kristy) Dunn and a son who chose not to be listed; along with her much-loved grandchildren, Madison (My Heart) Dunn, Olivia (Angel) Dunn, Ethan (Lil’ Man) Dunn, and two other grandsons whom she adored; her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Debi and Bill Floyd; as well as her niece, Vanessa Dunn Allen. Kay's capacity for love and forgiveness and random acts of kindness was never ending. She loved! She loved her family, her friends, her fur baby (Beamer) and the beauty of the natural world around her. She was passionate about anything happening in the sky, sunrises, sunsets, rainbows, the moon and stars in the night sky. Now she has a better view. We will see you again. Until then, we are ever blessed by your memory. We love you to the moon and back. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to The Ronald McDonald House at Shands Children’s Hospital.
