Services for Robert A. Wilson, 87 of Coolidge will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kevin Odom will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Wilson passed away February 14, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Lake City, Fl. Born July 25, 1925 in Caryville, Tennessee; he was the son of the late Luther Wilson and Dora Huntley Wilson. He was married to Geraldine Hickey Wilson, who survives. Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the United States Army and was a newspaper carrier. Other survivors include his children, Ernie Wilson and wife Samantha of Punta Gorda, FL, Brenda Dunsmore and husband Wayne of South Charleston, OH, Edith Burton of Punta Gorda, FL, Faye VanMeter of Kentucky and Ray Wilson and wife Betty of Kentucky; step-children, Richard Tudor and wife Lisa and Katrina White and husband Ronald; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 6 step-grandchildren; brother, Lyndon Wilson of Eutaw, Al. He was preceded in death by son-in-law, James VanMeter and step-daughter, Sue Smith.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church 2600 HWY 122 Thomasville, GA 31757.
