Funeral services for Robert D. Stewart will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home with interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Stewart died Suday, April 18, 2004 at The Presbyterian Home in Quitman. Born on April 16, 1910 in Thomas County, he was the son of the late Allen L. Stewart and Della Morris Stewart. Mr. Stewart was retired from Coats and Clarks and was a Farmer and an avid gardner. He was married to Jessie L. Stewart and Lena Collins Stewart who both preceded him in death. Survivors include his son Morris Stewart of Ft. Walton Beach, Fl., daughter Linda Spence of Lilburn, Ga., step-daughter Margaret Brown on Adel, Ga.; grandchildren Shawn Stewart, Tiffany Turner, Ricky Brown, Karen Lassiter, Maggie Lackey; 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Luther Stewart, A.L. Stewart, Willie Stewart, Capitola Stewart Lamb, and Paulette Hardee. Memorials may be made to United Hospice at 101 W.
