Robert E. "Bob" Ferrel

Funeral services for Robert E. “Bob” Ferrel, Sr. of Pavo will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Steve Brooks will officiate and interment will be at Big Ochlocknee Cemetery. Mr. Ferrel passed away on June 20, 2018. Born on January 6, 1929 in Wilmington, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Harry and Annie Mae Dement Ferrel. He was married to Mae Elizabeth Carter Ferrel and later to Jacqueline Sue Cox Ferrel, who preceded him in death in 2017. Mr. Ferrel served in the United States Air Force. He was a pastor at numerous churches. Mr. Ferrel and his wife were proud to be Pioneer Missionaries, where they started churches throughout the country in conjunction with the Georgia Baptist Association and Southern Baptist Convention He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Butch and Judy Ferrel of Cochran, Ga, Harry and Lorie Ferrel of Statesboro, Ga, and Logan and Gerri Ferrel of Pavo; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the funeral home from 5:00PM until 7:00PM. Memorial contributions may be sent to Gideons Expressions, PO Box 2361, Thomasville, GA 31799.
