Robert Thomas "Rob" Kelly passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 28, 2026. Born on December 30, 1969, Rob was the son of John David "Jack" Kelly Sr. and Janis Horne Kelly.

Rob was a 1988 graduate of Brookwood School in Thomasville, Georgia. He was employed by Senior Life Insurance, where he worked in the Maintenance and Grounds Department.

An avid outdoorsman, Rob was happiest when he was surrounded by nature. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He had an incredible curiosity about the world around him and seemed to know a little something about almost everything. He was especially knowledgeable about science and history, subjects that came naturally to him and reflected his intelligence and lifelong love of learning.

Rob will be remembered for his unique personality, his knowledge, his love of the outdoors, and the many memories he shared with those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Mattison Daniel Kelly (Ariel); his mother, Janis Horne Kelly; his siblings, John David Kelly Jr. (Lori), Kathryn Kelly Upton, and Carole Kelly Newbern; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and other cherished family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, John David "Jack" Kelly Sr.

Funeral services will be announced in the coming days.
