Robert August Kelzer

Memorial service for Robert August Kelzer, 89 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 29, 2016 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church. Father David Koetner will officiate. Mr. Kelzer passed away January 25, 2016 at his residence. Born November 25, 1926 in Waconia, Minnesota; he was the son of the late Fred Kelzer and Marie Nitz Kelzer. He was married to Dolly Mae Torguson who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, was an active member of St. Augustine’s Catholic Church and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Kelzer invented the bevel master and several other machines. He moved from St. Petersburg to Thomasville about 30 years ago where he made it his home. He was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his children, Therese Bouknecht of Thomasville, Robert Allen Kelzer and Michael Raymond Kelzer, both of St. Petersburg, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and sisters, Ginny Keough of Minnesota and Shirley Garrison of Wyoming.
