Robert Pearson Knight Jr.

A visitation for Robert Pearson Knight, Jr., age 70, of Thomasville will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Allen and Allen Celebration of Life Chapel. Mr. Knight passed away on May 24, 2022. On June 28, 1951, he was born in Tifton to the late Robert Pearson Knight, Sr., and Annette Hicks Handly. Robert worked as a painter for 54 years. He enjoyed playing and watching golf. His pride and joy were his girls and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Janet Knight of Thomasville; daughters, Penny Glass (Kenny) of Moultrie, Heather Rodrigues (Dilawar) of Thomasville, and Denise Dukes of Thomasville; grandchildren, Nicole Glass (Samuel Corona), Nicholas Glass, Meredith Rodrigues, Jayden Rodrigues, RJ Dukes, Pearson Dukes, and Isabella Dukes; great-granddaughter on the way, Isabella Fuentes; sisters, Deloris “Lucky” Ferro (Steve) of Port St. Lucie, FL and Sandy Zobel (Jeff) of Port St. Lucie, FL; sisters-in-law, Penny Betts (Vic) of Whittier, NC and Karla Knight of FL; brother-in-law, John Smith (Diana) of Tucson, AZ; aunts, Carol Brooks of Moultrie and Joyce Hicks of Moultrie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his mother Annette Handly and his stepdad, Richard Handly; Wayne Knight, Doug Knight, Bill Knight, Jimmy Knight, and Michael Barfield.
