Robert Louis Braddy, Jr.
Memorial services for Robert Louis Braddy, Jr., 89, of Thomasville, are at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 at Plantation Manor. Rev. Dan Spencer will officiate. Mr. Braddy joined his sweet wife in Heaven, Thursday, Nov. 12, Thomasville, Ga. Born, Jan. 20, 1920, in Pavo, he was the son of the late Robert Louis and Florence Ida Herminia Rehm Braddy. He married the love of his life, Marie Braddy on April 19, 1942 and shared 67 years of love and devotion until her death in September of this year. He was a graduate of Pavo High School and Macon Business College. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for many years and taught Sunday School and Training Union and was also a member of the Kiwanis Club. He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the Merchant Marines, Army Transport Service and USS Ernestine Koranda Hospital ship. He served as Court Clerk and Deputy Sherriff of Thomas County and retired as Executive Director of Thomasville Public Housing. After retirement, he enjoyed many years touring the United States and Canada with his wife and thoroughly enjoyed fishing. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grand father and world's best father-in-law. His love of laughter, instant smile, warm hugs, unconditional love and support for everyone in his family will be missed. He was known for his mischievous nature and his many escapades will be missed by his family and friends He is survived by daughter, Jennifer Marie Braddy Frost of Dillard, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Miller and Julia Trawick Braddy of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; grandsons, Charles Robert Frost III of Savannah, Ga., Adam Miller Frost of Denver, Colorado and Robert Miller Braddy, Jr. of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; great-grandsons, Joshua Frost and Jonah Frost both of Savannah, Ga. and Cannon Miller Frost of Denver, Colorado; great-granddaughter, Christa Braddy of Gulf Breeze, Fla. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Christa Evelyn Braddy; sisters, Velma Miller, Judy Miller Strickland and Leona Miller Grover; son-in-law, Charles R.
