November 15, 1956 — October 21, 2023

Robert Curtis Singletary, 66, of Thomasville Georgia passed away peacefully on October 21, 2023 at his home surrounded by his beloved family.
Curtis was born in Thomasville Georgia on November 15, 1957 to Helen Curtis Singletary and Robert Percy Singletary (Bobby D). After attending Thomasville High School, Curtis joined his father in business, Singletary Tire, originally opened in 1948. Curtis enjoyed rewarding work carrying on the family legacy up until his retirement at age 63.
Curtis appreciated life, finding joy in nature through flowers and gardening. He loved all kinds of music, instilling in his sons, an appreciation and passion for live music and instruments. With a career in the tire industry, Curtis loved just about anything with a motor in it and passed his knowledge of cars and motorcycles down to his sons: Jared, Titus, and Dylan. A man of a few words and sometimes a man of many words, Curtis loved his three sons and his family above anything else.
Curtis was preceded in death by his mother, father, sisters Shirley Carr (John Carr) and Elaine Riggs, nephew Clarke Carr, niece Megan Carr, and great nephew Harrison Hooks. He is also preceded in death by Becky (Quick) Singletary.
Curtis is survived by his sons Jared Singletary, Titus Singletary, and Dylan Singletary (Kate Edelen), his sister, Beverly Harrison, his grandchildren Stone and Dawson Singletary, his niece Deren Hooks (Bill), his great nephew and niece, Brayton and Adeline Hooks, and his stepmother Suzanne Singletary. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Susan (Quick) Sangster, honorary cousin, Marty Lutes, and special friends Connie McElreath and Ben Hatcher.
