Robert C. S. "Andy" Anderson
Graveside services for Robert C. S. "Andy" Anderson, 91, of Treasure Island, Fla., were held at 1p.m., Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Fla. Mr. Anderson died Jan. 31 at his residence, under the care of Hospice. In 1943, he married his beloved Dorothy, who passed away on Feb. 19, 2009. He worked in mill supplies and taught at Robinson High School. He went to Tampa from his native Chicago on a football scholarship at the University of Tampa and was a retired Navy Pilot serving in WWII. He was a deacon at First Presbyterian Church. He moved to Treasure Island in 1969, was the first director of Pinellas County Vocational Technical Institute, and received his master's degree from Colorado State University. He was a member of Pasadena Presbyterian Church. Survivors include daughter, Sharon Cernogorsky of Thomasville; and extended family and friends.
