Funeral services for Mr. Robert Bob Eugene Smith of Thomasville will be held Thursday, January 29, 2004 at 2:00PM at the Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bob Dixon will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Smith died Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at his residence under Hospice Care. Mr. Smith served in WWII in the United States Army. He was retired from South Georgia Natural Gas after 30 years of service. Mr. Smith was born on March 24, 1924 in Calhoun, Georgia and married Lois Revells Smith on April 8, 1956 in Thomasville. Mr. Smith requested no flowers but donations may be made to the YMCA, P.O. Box 1035, Thomasville, GA 31799, Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Ave., Thomasville, GA. 31792 or to your favorite charity. He was preceded in death by his parents, James M. Smith Sr. and Tennie Moss Smith, a sister, Arah Patterson and a brother James M. Smith Jr. all of Calhoun, Georgia. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 47 years Lois Revells Smith of Thomasville and a sister, Pauline S. Chastain of Calhoun, Georgia and several nieces and nephews.
