Ronald Bert Spaulding

Funeral services for Ronald Bert Spaulding,77, of Thomasville will be Thursday June 6, 2024 at 10am at Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel. Rev. Jeff Overstreet will officiate and interment will take place at Tallahassee National Cemetery Thursday 2pm. Born on January 1, 1947, in Pueblo, CO to the late, Elbert Avlo and Ida H Skelton Spaulding.
Ron dedicated over 40 years of his life to Christian ministry, serving as a pastor, deacon, and missionary, ministering to international students around the world. His love and passion was reaching internationals with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He knew 5 languages, and loved sharing that knowledge with others. A proud Navy veteran, Ron enlisted on April 15, 1965. While in the Navy, Ron took correspondence courses at the University of Maryland. Throughout his life, he pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor's degree in Russian and German at the University of Colorado in Pueblo, as well as a Bachelor's in Education at the University of Wyoming. He also attended Columbia Bible College in South Carolina and participated in the Lewis and Clark Summer German program.
In his personal life, Ron cherished his family and enjoyed moments spent fishing for trout. He liked trains and airplanes, listening to country music, and engaging in discussions about U.S. politics. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Judith Spaulding, his children Ronald "Jed" Spaulding (Danae) of Lincoln, NE, and Joy White (Adam) of Thomasville, his grandchildren Grace, Liberty, and Hope Spaulding, and Jonathan and Abigail White. Ron is also survived by his sister Charlene May Spaulding (Stipe) of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and sisters-in-law Sherry Baumgardner of Naples, Florida, and Jeannine Rowell of Matthews, NC. Ron is also survived by nieces and nephews Lori Brasuell and Eric Brasuell of Lincoln, NE, Kenny Spaulding of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Loren Spaulding of Pueblo, Colorado. Very dear friends the Lundberg Family, Vasek Family, Dinwiddie Family, the Mike Bossard Family, the Wagner Family, Lindy Funkhouser, Gary Thomas, Billy & Susan Hamm and many more.
Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Elbert Spaulding. Ron's compassion, dedication, and faith will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
