Ronnie E. Horn

Funeral services for Ronnie E. Horn, of Boston, will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Boston Church of God. Rev. James Lott and Rev. Teddy Ray Hunt will officiate. Interment will follow in the Boston Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kyle Horn, Gary Weddle, Ricky Gipson, Steve Parrish, Kevin Dean, Cecil Jones and Jimmy Graham. Mr. Horn died on October 11 in Thomasville. Born on January 5, 1945 in Enterprise, Alabama, he was the son of H. L. and Merle Walden Horn. On June 17, 1966 he married Sharon Weddle Horn, who survives. He was a manager for Merrily Plantation. Mr. Horn was a member for 30 years of the Boston Church of God and a volunteer fireman. He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to many. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was also a carpenter by trade for the last 35 years. Other survivors include his mother Merle Walden Horn; daughters and sons-in-law Jodie and John Wheeler of Boston, Leslie and Chris Waters of Ochlocknee, and Marly and Donny Jones of Japan. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Mitchell and Macie Wheeler, Cyndel Waters and Donny Jones. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, John Red and Barbara Horn of Hartford, AL; two sisters Nina Sutton and Nancy Morton, both of Milton, Fl.; and several nieces and nephews. His father, H. L. Horn and a brother Pitt L. Horn preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to the Church of God Orphanage, Boston Church of God, P.O. Box 750, Boston, GA 31626.
