Rosa Lee Simmons Pitts passed away on October 6, 2021. She was 90 years old. Rosa Lee was born May 20, 1931 in Sneads, Florida to Martha and George Simmons.
Rosa Lee was of the Baptist faith and attended the Beulah Baptist Church in Lee, FL. Rosa Lee was a loving mother and homemaker. She loved the outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her family especially the little ones. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles in her spare time. She loved to prepare big family meals where all could share together in love and laughter.
Rosa Lee is preceded in death by her husband Chester Ander Pitts, her stepson Roy Chester Pitts, and her son Edward Carl Pitts. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Martha Davis and stepfather Jay Davis Sr., and her siblings, Mary Baily, James Simmons, Elizabeth Sligh, Mildred Roberts, Cary Spears, and Bobby Davis.
Rosa Lee is survived by her children Charles Pitts, Barbara McMullen, Jack Pitts, and Belinda Dixon. She is also survived by her siblings Lois Dudley, Irene Riddles, and Jay Davis Jr. as well as by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Private Services will be held at Allen & Allen Funeral Home on Saturday October 16th at 2:00PM. All arrangements are under the direction of Allan & Allen Funeral Home of Thomasville, GA.
