In her younger years, Rose was a member of the Junior Service League where she participated in fundraising and volunteering for the community. She also was a Cub Scout den mother and Brownie/Girl Scout Troop leader.
Rose moved from Thomasville to Tallahassee in the 1990s, where she became a member of the Newcomer’s Club. She also discovered her natural talent for ballroom dancing at the American Legion and Moose Club, which she also joined.
Rose was a member of and attended First Baptist Church in Thomasville, Georgia.
Her children will remember her for her devotion to them, her infectious laughter, her love of flowers and digging in the dirt, her red lipstick, her love of dogs, playing bridge until the early morning hours on school nights, her love for shopping, and her favorite hymn - “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.” Rose was beautiful, smart, sensitive, kind, and tough.
