Rosalyn Edith Jones Dollar

Graveside services for Rosalyn Edith Jones Dollar, 78, are 2 pm, Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Dollar passed away July 6, 2011 at Harbor Chase of Columbia, SC. She was born February 24, 1933 in St Mary's, GA. For most of her childhood and youth she was a resident of Thomasville. She was a 1951 graduate of Thomasville High School and was employed by the Southern Bell Telephone Company. In March of 1953 she married Thomas Earl Dollar of Cairo, GA. Rose followed her husband, Tom, through many moves including Valdosta, Thomasville, Albany, Atlanta, Macon, Hollywood, Fl, Fairfax, Va, Tucker and Covington. A gracious, Godly woman, Rose loved cooking, cake decorating, gardening, sewing and spending time with friends and family. Mrs. Dollar was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Howard Jones and Eula Leila Higginbotham Jones; her husband, Thomas Earl Dollar; and son, Arthur Thomas Dollar. She is survived by daughters, Julia Karen Dollar Michael Sanford of Stockbridge, GA and Jennifer Ann Dollar of Columbia, SC; and son, Neal Earl Yon Dollar of Springfield, VA; four grandchildren, Nicole Cherie Sanford Stan Sveen and their daughters, Alyssa and Abigail, of Falcon Heights, MN; Thomas Wayne Ginger Sanford and their sons, Jacob and Ethan of Hendersonville, TN; Daniel Arthur Dollar of Springfield, VA; and Andrew Mark Dollar of Springfield, VA. Mrs. Dollar was a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church of Conyers, GA and a strong believer in Jesus Christ.
