Roscoe Cline Wilder

Services for Roscoe Cline Wilder of Thomasville are at 2:00PM on Monday, December 20, 2004 at Springhill Methodist Church. The Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor, Rev Waymon Cleveland and Rev. Mike Jones will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Morgan Parker, Bobby Brown, Hank Stringer, Ken Stringer, Mike Lee and Chase Lee. Mr. Wilder died December 17, 2004 at his residence. Born October 8, 1910 in Fenholloway, Fl. he was the son of the late Roscoe Cavner and Shirley Jackson Wilder. On June 9, 1937 at Springhill Methodist Church he married Carolyn Ferrell Wilder who preceded him in death. Mr. Wilder was a veteran of the United States Navy Air Corp serving during WWII. He received his masters degree from the University of Florida and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a retired Florida Educator and Georgia Tree Farmer and a member of the American Legion, Phi Kappa Phi and a former board member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include daughter Martha Wilder of Pompano Beach, FL, daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Wilder Wingate and David R. Wingate of Cartersville, GA., adopted son, Robert Taylor of Thomasville and brother, Willie James Wilder of Mexico Beach, FL.
