Graveside services for Rose Hancock Glebus will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Laurel Hill Cemetery (9th Street). Mrs. Rose Hancock Glebus passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022. She was born April 27, 1934 in Thomasville, GA to Boyd Emmerson and Cora Williams Hancock. She graduated from Thomasville High School in 1952. She continued her studies in various fields eventually combining her interest in business and healthcare through a long career in healthcare administration. Her work enabled her to send her three daughters to college as a single working mother. When her children finished college, she was blessed to meet the love of her life, William “Bill” F. Glebus who took them all on a wonderful tour throughout Europe. As newlywed “empty nesters”, Rose and Bill enjoyed continued international travels as well as hosting large holiday gatherings for family and friends in their home. Rose loved gardening and providing her floral arrangements for parties, baby showers, and friends she enjoyed visiting. She loved to laugh, tell jokes and share remembrances of fun times and sweet stories of those who had left this world before her, leaving her with the best memories of their blessing on her life. She had a huge soft spot for animals, enjoyed feeding birds in her yard with edible plantings and most especially enjoyed her furry friends, the cats. She remained active in her church and “Blessings” Sunday school class at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church. She is survived by her three daughters Cori Hamilton (Curt Conner), Julie Hile (Marty), Claudia Beesley (Rick); grandson Preston Hancock Beesley; sister Sarah Hancock Huddleston; her beloved step-children William F. Glebus Jr., Kevin and Chris Glebus, Timothy and Cathy Glebus, Kathy Glebus Brown, Jenifer and John Rorke; grandchildren Nathan and Sam Brown, Franny and JJ Rorke, Steven and Michelle Delany, great-grandchildren Riley, Hailey and Avery Delany; and many beloved nieces and nephews. We will all dearly miss her until we meet again. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Glebus, brother Charles Irvin Hancock, and sister Mary Nell Hancock Danforth.
