Rose Marie Robbins

A Celebration of Life will be held for Rose Marie Paulk Robbins at 11:00 AM on Saturday September 30, 2023, at First Baptist Church, Thomasville, Ga. A visitation will be held on Friday night before the Celebration from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Allen and Allen Funeral Home. She fought a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis before the Lord called her home on September 24, 2023, at the age of 80.

Rose Marie was born in Bradenton, Fl on January 19, 1943. She was raised in Cochran, Ga. She led a spirit filled life with her strong faith in Jesus Christ. She graduated from Bleckley County High School. She attended Georgia Southern University, graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in education, becoming an avid lifelong Georgia bulldog. While in Cochran, she was honored to be Miss Bleckley County and displayed her dancing talent in the Miss Georgia Pageant. Before entering higher education, she also worked as a water ski performer at Cypress Gardens. She moved to Thomasville, Ga, where she taught dancing at the Ruth Salter School of Dance and taught at Scott Elementary School, retiring in 2001. Rose Marie was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church serving in many roles. She worked for 34 years, helping to produce the Music and Drama Troupe performances featuring the talents of local teenagers. She worked with Goal Line Ministries at Thomas University, hosting many students through the Adopt A Student program. She served as a preliminary judge for the Miss America program in the southeast US.

Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents, J. D. Paulk, and Alice Gibbs Paulk; her sister, Sylvia Paulk and grandchild, Matthew Bryan. Rose Marie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Thomas W. Robbins and her children, Phillip (Jay) West (LeAnne), Montgomery (Monty) West (Chris), Angela (Angie) West and stepchildren, Cynthia Robbins Bryan (Duke) and Carolyn Robbins Reeves (Martin). Her grandchildren include Hunter Augins, Anna Marie Augins, Lucas Ricci, Dominic Ricci, Mason West, Madeline West, Cole West, Thomas Bryan, Masha Bryan, Vika Hurets, Nathan Reeves and great grandchildren, Kai West and Sofia Hurets. She is also survived by her brother, Cliff Paulk (Kathy).

The Rev. John Rainey will officiate.
