Roy Reeves Little, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 71. He was born on April 17, 1952, to the late Mack Little and Lois Moore Little in a small town that he would later become a pillar of.
Roy was a man of faith and dedication, serving as a pastor at Evergreen Baptist Church for many years. His proudest moments came when he had the honor of baptizing his four cherished grandchildren, guiding them along their spiritual paths. He was a pillar of strength and wisdom in his community, often sought out for guidance and support. Roy's unwavering commitment to his ministry touched the lives of countless individuals.
Beyond his role as a pastor, Roy wore many hats. He served as the esteemed Mayor of Boston, Georgia, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the town's future. Roy did not limit his legacy to public service alone; he was the proud owner of Little's Grocery Store, a local establishment that provided a place for community members to gather and connect.
In his free time, Roy enjoyed the great outdoors, finding solace in hunting and fishing. Roy's dedication to serving others extended beyond his professional endeavors. He initiated a MANA drop, offering support and nourishment to those in need, epitomizing his selflessness and commitment to helping others.
Survived by his wife Ann Little, sons Mike Little and his wife Celeste of Thomasville, Georgia & Jonathan Little of Boston, Georgia. His sisters Lillian Hanratty and her husband Bernard of Thomasville, Georgia, Carolyn Barrett and her husband Bobby of Aiken, South Carolina, and sister-in-law Barbara Little of Boston, Georgia. His Grandchildren Ayla Little, Ansley, Little, Logan Little, Liam Little, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Max Little.
A service will be held to celebrate the life of Roy Reeves Little on Saturday, December 30th at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 am-11 am at Allen & Allen Funeral Home before the service.
