Services for Ruby Hazel Adams of Thomasville are at 2:00PM on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Rainey will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Mrs. Adams died January 30, 2005 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born June 13, 1915 in Dade County, Fl., she was the daughter of the late William Jordan Owens and Nancy Elizabeth Ambrose Owens. She was married to Fred Chandler Adams who preceded her in death. Mrs. Adams was a member of First Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She lived in Miami until the last 18 years when she moved to Thomasville. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Carol Adams of Altamonte Springs, FL., James and Rita Adams of Sharpsburg, GA., daughter and son-in-law, Hazel and Robert Perkins of Thomasville, sister Addie Mae Johns of Pembrook Pines, FL., grandchildren, James Adams, Bart Smith, Stacy Spaulding, Shelley McCurdy, Kristi Day, Kevin Adams, Debbie Nelson, Robert Perkins, Jr., John Perkins, Brian Perkins and 23 great grandchildren. A sister, Ola Miller, brother, Henry Owens and a sister, Ruth Lane, preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Always & Forever Memorial & Honor Program, Atten: ADA Web, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
