Services for Ruby Mae Foy, 87 of Coolidge will be at 4:00PM on Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at Merrillville Baptist Church where she was a member. Rev. Hugh Rockett & Rev. Gregg Carr will officiate with interment in Big Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bryce Webber, Dale Aldridge, Dale Foy, Darin Foy, Barry Higgs & Steve Kelley. Mrs. Foy died April 28, 2002 at her residence. Born March 18, 1915 in Blountstown, Fl., she was the daughter of the late John W. & Rosa Lee Whittington Sherrod. She was the last surviving child of eight children. On October 6, 1934 in Thomasville, she married Benjamin Harrison Foy who preceded her in death. Mrs. Foy was a avid Gardener and taught Sunday School at Merrillville Baptist Church for many years. Survivors include daughter & son-in-law, Margie & Stanley Martin of Pavo, GA., daughter, Imogene Webber of Chapin, SC., sons & daughters-in-law, Ray & Sabra Foy & John & Barbara Foy all of Thomasville, 14 grandchildren, Sonya Aldridge, Kyle Martin, Delisa Higgs, Dale Foy, Darin Foy, Kristine Tucker, Bryce Webber, Hope Jordan, Debbie Carver, Steve Kelley, Carol Goodson and James Kelley and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Thomas Lamar Foy and grandsons, Shawn Foy and Tracy Kelley. Memorials may be made to Merrillville Baptist Church, 15 Airline Road, Coolidge, Ga. 31738. The family will receive friends at Allen & Allen Funeral Home form 7-9PM of Tuesday. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com
