Ruby Strickland Mclaney

Graveside services for Ruby Strickland McLaney of Thomasville are at 2:00PM on Friday, February 10, 2006 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Georgia Street. The Rev. Don McMillan will officiate. Mrs. McLaney died Feb. 8 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born April 2, 1922 in Ozark, AL, she was the daughter on the late R. L. and Lillie Wallace Strickland. She was married to Herbert McLaney who preceded her in death. Mrs. McLaney was a member of First Baptist Church and was a homemaker who enjoyed attending to her yard and flowers. Survivors include a son, John McLaney of Thomasville, daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Bill McGlamery of Tallahassee, FL, Barbara and Jim McDonald of Thomasville; grandchildren, Lynn McKenzie, Angela McGlamery-Phoenix, Kellie Fletcher; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Strickland of North Carolina, Lee Strickland of California and Kathryn Byrd of Florida.
