Ruby Alyce Hartsfield passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Ga on May 22, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Terry Pasco Beasley and Clyde Wilkes Beasley. She was born in Dixie, Ga on October 21, 1929. She was a member of the last graduating class at Dixie High School. She attended Milledgeville College for Women and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. She graduated from Valdosta State College with a Master’s degree in Elementary education. She began her teaching career at Pelham High School. Later she taught 2nd and 4th grade at Harper Elementary School with 30 years of teaching young students. She retired in 1986. She and her late husband, Isaac Hartsfield, Jr. were charter members of Dawson Street Baptist Church. She was an Adult Sunday School teacher for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Isaac Hartsfield, Jr. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Carol and Paul Leigh, daughter and son-in-law Mary Lynn and Darrell Dull, grandson Sean Mitchell and wife Haley, granddaughter Shelby Knight and husband Stewart, great grandsons Jonathan Mitchell and Joseph Mitchell. She was preceded in death by sister Mildred Beasley, brother Harold Beasley, and sister Louise Beasley McIntosh. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 25th on Tennessee Street in Laurel Hill Cemetery. The family will have a short visitation at the cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Dawson Street Baptist Church in Thomasville, the Thomas County Humane Society, or Miss Kitty Feline Sanctuary.
