Services for Lynwood Arline, 82, of Thomasville Georgia, will be Wednesday, November 18th at 2:00 Pm at First Baptist Church Sanctuary, with Reverend John Rainey officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and his Sunday school class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Arline was born August 6, 1938 in Grady County Georgia, to Ruel Leaston Arline and Iris Logue Arline, who preceded him in death. He was married for 54 years to Judy Willis Arline, who survives him. He was a member of the National Guard with the 4th battalion and was a retired from CSX Railroad after 47 years. Mr. Arline spent time as an insurance agent for Southern Life as well. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomasville and served as a lifelong deacon, usher, and he loved his Sunday school class. His hobbies included golfing, taking his grandchildren to and from school, and spending time at the Glen Arven Country Club.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Howard Arline, Larry Arline, Ross Arline, Bill Arline, Bennie Arline, and Bobby Arline. He is survived by his children, Ron Arline (Bunki) of Thomasville Ga., Joel Arline (Ali) of St. Simons Island GA., and Julie Carson (Scott) of Thomasville GA.; his grandchildren, Joseph DeLoach, George Arline, Pope Arline, Helen Arline, Jackson Carson, and Cooper Carson; and his siblings, Betty Jones of Cairo GA., and Lucy Whigham of Vidalia GA.
