Russell Newton Austin

Russell Newton Austin passed away January 24, 2014 at his residence. Born July 23, 1921 in Muscadine, AL., he was the son of the late William J. Austin and Dela McWhorter Austin. Mr. Austin was in the United States Army for four years. Later in life he worked at Lockheed for 20 years as an avionics machinist. He was a member of the Georgia Sheriffs Association and the American Veterans Foundation. Mr. Austin was married to Marie Austin for 30 plus years, until she preceded him in death. Later he married Marjorie Austin. Survivors include son David Michael Austin and wife Jenni of Acworth, GA; grandchildren Alesia Silcox and Miranda Wilson; Great Grandchildren Mason Wilson, Maverick Wilson, and Jude Silcox; brother Burton J.
