Russell Allen Jones

Russell Allen Jones, 40, of Thomasville, GA, passed away peacefully at his home on July 28, 2026. He was born on April 25, 1986, in Thomasville, GA, to Katie Dixon Jones. Russell was a caring family man who loved to make people laugh. His daughter Hanna held a special place in his heart. He cherished their time together and spoiling her.

Russell worked in several fields as an electrical line worker, electrician, manufacturing, and building maintenance. He took pride in his work and made sure it was done correctly. 

Russell is survived by his daughter, Hanna Marie Jones, of Lincoln, AL; Brother, Terry Jones (Alice), of Thomasville, GA; His Fiancé Mary Schmigel; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Katie Dixon Jones (2025).

He will be remembered for his jokes, pranks, and most of all, his love for others. He touched many lives along the way and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He loved animals and had many pets over the years.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 1st from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Allen and Allen Funeral Home.
