Russell Eugene Sthrome

A memorial mass for Russell Eugene Sthrome, 69, of Thomasville will be at 2:00 PM on Monday July 28, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, where he was a member. Mr. Sthrome died in Thomasville on July 25, 2014. Born May 16, 1945 in Hartford City, IN, he was the son of the late Donald Eugene and Irene Lambiotte Sthrome. He served in the Air Force, National Guard and Navy and retired after a career as a Russian linguist on January 31, 1999. He also retired from Publix where he worked as a produce manager. Mr. Sthrome was married to Marites (Tess) Arrivado, who survives. Also surviving are a son Russell Sthrome, Jr. of IN, a daughter Stephanie Sthrome of VA, and a granddaughter Aaliyah Phillips of Thomasville. Other survivors include an uncle, Robert Sthrome, aunts, Martha Murray and Mary Jane Sommers and many cousins. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Pope John Paul 1 Counsel 7366 of Thomasville order. A rosary will be held, Sunday July 27, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel.
