Services for Sally Ruth Grant Alley, 94, of Thomasville are 2:00 pm, Friday, July 24, 2009 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Carl Howard will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery on Florida St. Mrs. Alley died July 20, 2009 at Glen-Mor Nursing Home. Born September 12, 1913 in Holmes County, Fl, she was the daughter of the late John A. Grant and Amanda Martin Grant. Mrs. Alley was married to R.T. Alley, who preceded her in death. She was a ticket agent for Trailways Bus Co and a member of Dawson Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include daughters –in-law Pauline Sanders Alley of Moultrie and Janie Tillie Alley of Jasper, Ga, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her sons Lamar Alley Sr, and Doyle Alley. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Ave, Thomasville, Ga 31792.
