Services for Samuel Albert Carter of Boston are at 2:00PM on Friday, September 20, 2002 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Rev.W. J. Plymel & Rev. Joe Dunn will officiate with interment in New Friendship Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kevin Newsome, Tom Hyslop, Randal Newsome, Alan Hipshire, Jerry Lamb, Chris Abrams and Stephen Hyslop. Mr. Carter died September 17, 2002 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born February 4, 1922 in Hilliard, Fl. he was the son of the late John & Sarah Crews Carter. On November 6, 1960 in Tampa, Fl. he was married to Francis Carter who survives. Mr. Carter was Baptist and a member of the VFW and DAV. Other
survivors include his daughters & sons-in-law, Carolyn & Bill Smith, Jean & Jimmy Clark all of Boston, stepdaughters & husband, Joyce & Bill Scarbarough and Jean Whitfield all of Zebulon, GA., grandchildren, Chris Abrams, Kevin Newsome, Deann Hyslop, Melissa Compton, Robyn Kindred, Henry Ansley, Debbie NeSmith, Tammy Hires, Randal Newsome and Genia Newsome, 25 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Newsome. The family will receive friends from 7-9PM on Thursday at the FuneraL Home. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com
