Services for Samuel Ezekiel Umphurs, 73, of Thomasville will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, September 03, 2014 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Robert Young will officiate and interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Umphurs passed away on September 01, 2014, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born April 18, 1941 in Dublin, GA, he was the son of the late Dewey Lee and Thelma Pearl Young Umphurs. On June 30, 1985 in Live Oak, FL, he married Joyce Parramore Umphurs, who survives. Other survivors include sons Bud and wife Kate Umphurs, Keith and wife Rosa Umphurs all of Albany, Derek and Melinda Umphurs of Leesburg, GA; daughter Susan Tidey of Granbury, TX; brother Mack Umphurs of Thomasville; sister Inez Johnson of Dublin, GA; 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Lee Parramore and grandson Jason Miller. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 02, 2014 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at the funeral home.
