Sandra Anita Tinsley

April 29, 1940 — January 24, 2024

Anita Tinsley, a beloved mother, devoted grandmother, and cherished friend, peacefully passed away on January 24, 2024, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born on April 29, 1940, to the late Lucille and Gordon Prince in Cairo, Anita led a life filled with love, joy, and unwavering determination.
Anita was employed by Warners Manufacturing for over three decades. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed cooking meals and caring for the needs of her family.
As a lover of the beach and a self-proclaimed shopaholic, Anita enjoyed spending her time in the pursuit of both natural beauty and the thrill of finding hidden gems on her shopping excursions. Her impeccable sense of style and grace radiated wherever she went, whether she was browsing the aisles of Dollar General or heading to the Taj Mahal.
Left to honor Anita's memory are her children, Tawanna McKenzie (Wyman) and Eric Tinsley (Debbie). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Summer Addison (Todd), Caleb McKenzie (Anna), Dylan Tinsley (Christine), and Dallas Tinsley (Chaise), John Michael Moulton (Liza). Anita's legacy also lives on through her great-grandchildren Isaac, Luke, Memphis, Tharpe, Harland, Brantley, Peyton, Gracie and Jude. And she loved her dear Shitzu fur baby boy Sparky.
Anita was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, John Winfred Tinsley, who shared a lifetime of love and adventure by her side. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Glen Prince, David Prince, and Sue Daughtry.
The funeral services to celebrate Anita will be held at First Newark Baptist Church in Thomasville, GA on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 11am. Pastor Eric Tinsley, her devoted son, will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Carmen Prince, Freddy Daughtry, Caleb McKenzie, Dylan Tinsley, Dallas Tinsley, and Isaac Addison. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 10:00 am-11:00 am, prior to the service at the church.
Although our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take solace in knowing that Anita's spirit will forever illuminate our lives. Her love, compassion, and vibrant personality will continue to inspire us as we carry her memory in our hearts.
