Sandra Welch

Sandra Winslette Welch, 85, of Cartersville, GA, passed away on May 27, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Allen and Allen Funeral Home's Celebration of Life Chapel, with Reverend Paul Ballard officiating. Mrs. Welch was born on October 24, 1939, in Eatonton, GA, to loving parents, Robert and Sara Lawrence Winslette.

Mrs. Welch was Miss Putnam County High in 1957. She went on to serve as a paraprofessional at Bartow County Elementary, contributing to the education of countless children. Mrs. Welch was married to George Thomas Welch Sr. for 42 wonderful years until his passing.

Mrs. Welch cherished her grandchildren, Lauren DeLay (Jonathan), Jessica Welch, George Murchison (Cassie), Kate Murchison, Gabriel Johnson, Roman Johnson, and Sam Johnson, as well as her four great grandchildren. She found joy in playing the piano at church, bringing music to those around her.

Mrs. Welch is survived by her children, Tommy Welch (Valerie) of Thomasville, Sandy Murchison of Cartersville, GA, and Sara Johnson (Sydney) of Marietta, GA. She also leaves behind her sister, Brenda Bell (Jim) of Rome, GA. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband.
