Memorial services for Sara Simmons June, 66, of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 25 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Wendell Hollingsworth will officiate. Born Nov. 28, 1941 in Tryon, NC, she was the daughter of the late Cleo and Mary Geneva Tilley Simmons. Mr. June was married to Ernest June, who survives. She was retired from Bassett's Dairy. Other survivors include a daughter and son in law, Benjie and Tony Kirkbride of Clearwater, SC; 5 sons, Jerry Simmons, Michael Miller, John Miller, Thomas Miller and Troy Johnson all of Thomasville; 9 grandchildren, Shannon Lea, Laurie Murphy, Roger Murphy, Jr., Tanya Shows, Neal Nelson, Nicole, Simmons, Alisha Simmons, Joshua Simmons, and David Miller; 4 great-grandchildren, Haley Lea, Kayla Lea, Macy Lea and Summer Shows. Also surviving are 5 sisters, Dana Baisden and Cathleen Culbreth of Laundrum, SC, Linda Majcina of Milton, FL, Janice Daugherty and Elizabeth Ford of Tallahassee, FL and 1 brother Jimmy Simmons of Tallahassee, FL.
